Con cừu tội lỗi
Vào khoảng thời gian khó khăn khốn đốn khi nỗi buồn tràn ngập vương quốc động vật, một bệnh dịch khủng khiếp đã lan tràn khắp cả khu rừng khiến nhiều sinh vật lăn ra chết. Dịch bệnh ngày càng lan tràn mà không có cách gì cứu chữa.
 


Một lệnh triệu tập được ban hành, tất cả các loại động vật lớn nhỏ nhận được lệnh đều phải tập họp lại giữa khu rừng. Sử tử - chúa tể muôn loài bắt đầu lên tiếng:

 

“Hỡi muôn loài!”, chúa tể gầm lên, “Chúa trời đã ban lệnh trừng phạt đến khu rừng của chúng ta. Vậy nên chúng ta phải nhổ tận gốc kẻ nào đã gây ra tội lỗi khiến đức ngài nổi giận trước khi tất cả đều bị diệt vong. Mỗi kẻ trong các ngươi hãy ngẫm suy từ trong tâm và hãy tự thú nhận những lỗi lầm của mình, như vậy chúng ta mới có thể trừ bỏ được tai họa.

 

Nói là làm, sư tử lên tiếng đầu tiên trần tình về lỗi lầm của mình để muôn loài noi theo. “Một ngày nọ, ta đã giết một người đàn ông trong lúc ta đang đi tuần tra khu rừng. Tất cả muôn loài đều khóc nấc lên: “Ai có thể đổ lỗi cho chúa tể sơn lâm cao quý của chúng ta cơ chứ. Chẳng qua là vì ngài mang trọng trách lớn bảo vệ an toàn cho muôn loài khỏi nguy hiểm từ những kẻ hai chân. Chắc chắn chúa trời sẽ tha thứ cho lỗi lầm của ngài thôi”.

 

Tiếp theo con sói nói: “Tôi cũng xin thú nhận tội lỗi của tôi. Trong lúc tôi đang lảng vảng gần bìa rừng với cái bụng trống rỗng và đói cồn cào, tôi tình cờ nhìn thấy một con dê mẹ và những con dê con đang gặm cỏ non gần đó. Và thế là tôi lao đến xé thịt con dê mẹ và ăn hết lũ dê con, mặc dù tôi biết chỉ cần một con dê cũng đủ để tôi ăn rồi”. Sói sụt sịt khóc, “nhưng vì tôi đói quá”…

Hôm trước, tôi rất đói, vì một vài lý do nào đó mà ông chủ của tôi đã quên không dẫn tôi ra đồng cỏ ăn như thường lệ. Vậy nên tôi đã ăn một ít rơm mà ông chủ tôi đã đặt trong ủng của ông ấy để chân khỏi bị đau vậy nên có lẽ chân ông ấy sẽ bị chà sát vào ủng”.

 

“Làm thế nào mà người lại dám làm vậy”, sử tử gầm lên.

 

“ Đồ trộm cắp”, một con rắn rít lên.

 

“ Kẻ tội lỗi kia! Phải xử nó”. Tất cả các con vật cùng thét lên và xông vào con cừu tội lỗi rồi xé nó ra thành từng mảnh chia nhau.

 

Phải chăng kẻ yếu là kẻ phải chịu thiệt thòi khi không có khả năng tự bảo vệ? Hay chăng chúng ta có thể nhận ra tội lỗi của một người ngoài dễ dàng hơn so với tội lỗi của chúng ta, ngay cả khi tội lỗi của mình tồi tệ hơn của họ?
